The Wrap

Price range: ₦18,500 through ₦32,000

A composed fit for a bedroom, dressing room, or living space that needs one strong vertical piece. The charcoal silhouette and architectural folds bring quiet drama and focused presence to the wall.

The gele has always been sculpture. This piece makes that visible.

A single androgynous bust, cropped at the collarbone, is rendered as a deep charcoal and ink silhouette against a warm stone-grey ground. The face is absent. The clothing is absent. What remains is the headwrap: tall, dramatically folded, its fabric geometry casting strong internal shadow shapes that give the figure depth and movement without breaking its stillness.

The neck and shoulder line are clean and architectural, precise in the way a well-tailored garment is precise, without showing the garment itself. Behind the figure, the background shifts from warm grey at the centre toward near-white at the edges, as if natural light falls gently from above. A soft linen grain runs through the ground, keeping it tactile and warm despite the cooler palette.

The silhouette carries a slight ink-wash quality at its edges, something between a graphic and a sketch, deliberate and human.
