The Ridge at First Light

Price range: ₦22,000 through ₦36,000

A living room anchor wall, a large entryway, a home library, a formal dining room. Spaces built for art that commands the room rather than decorates it.

There is a particular quality to the African dawn that differs from any sunset. Where dusk softens and fades, sunrise arrives with force, light pushing through darkness before the sun has cleared the earth. "The Ridge at First Light" captures exactly that moment, held still.

A dark ridgeline runs across the lower third of the composition, broken and alive with silhouetted acacias, bare branching structures, and the rounded crown of a baobab. Behind them, the sun has just begun to rise. Its light erupts from a single point, radiating outward like a slow explosion. The colour at the source is almost white. Moving outward, it deepens through amber, burnt orange, and raw sienna before cooling into burgundy and dense indigo at the top edges of the frame.

The mood is reverent, the way early light on open land feels like something is about to happen. Stillness and force, held in one frame.
