Terra Signal announces itself through texture before anything else. Terracotta fills the canvas in assertive palette knife strokes that move diagonally from the lower right toward the upper left, the colour deepening to near-burnt sienna in the grooves and brightening to warm coral on the raised ridges. The surface carries physical weight in every centimetre, layers of fired-clay orange-red built visibly above one another, shifting as the light across them changes.

Deep navy cuts through in two or three deliberate diagonal marks, direct and uncomplicating, present as intervention rather than accent. In the upper corners, off-white applied in short compressed strokes pulls light down into the composition, creating the sense of a source above the action below.
