Adire Depths

Price range: ₦17,000 through ₦29,500

Sits naturally in a bedroom, reading room, or study. The layered indigo and ivory tones bring meditative depth to the wall without weight or noise.

Adire Depths draws from one of Nigeria's oldest textile traditions, the Yoruba practice of resist-dyeing cloth in deep indigo, and renders its visual language at an entirely different scale: vast, painterly, and fully abstract.

Irregular organic shapes fill the frame in deep prussian blue and indigo, with ivory and pale chalk-white bleeding through as though light is finding its way across layer after layer of colour. Where real Adire would carry soft edges, this piece does too. The depth is built up in translucent strata, giving the composition the quality of something that has aged well, that carries time within it.

There is nothing decorative here. The mood is meditative and quietly sophisticated, the kind of work that rewards the person who lives with it over months: different in morning light, different under warm evening lamps, consistently composed.
