The surface of a tropical fish, rendered at the scale of architecture. What appears from a distance as a shifting colour field resolves on approach into thousands of overlapping scales, each one a geometric tile with a dark outline and a luminous wet sheen.

The colour is structured beneath its movement. Deep cobalt and teal anchor the upper left, transitioning through electric turquoise at the centre before softening into aquamarine, then breaking into violet and rose gold at the lower right where the light refracts at its sharpest angle. The effect is kaleidoscopic but ordered: there is pattern beneath the shimmer, and the composition offers a different experience depending on where you stand.

The lighting is diffused and cool, with iridescent highlights placed to maximise refraction. Each scale reads as genuinely wet, genuinely luminous, as if the surface shifts with the ambient light in the room.
